settling
we sit outside and laugh at their antics. we peek at them from the bay window. we talk about what they've gotten into. babies are just so cute. in the last two days they've begun to root a bit. the "competition" sets mom and aunt to work. they're nearly done!
kids come over, glance at the pigs and say, what happened to the sandbox? so in prep for summer camp, i took back the sand area and wreathed it in herbs, flowers, strawberries and clover seed. it's so nice to see my old friends rooted again. and wow inspiring to dig in the soil. i spent all saturday making the little garden and feel so darn pleased.
as i reconnect soil, shovels and seeds, i feel more willing to send the boars back home. i was starting to feel pretty attached. then i remembered that grain-fed pork is not my vision. and then i planted the lil' garden and all my peony rose blueberry lettuce dreams began to keep me awake at night.
love you,
k
