one branch
every time i listen to ani difranco, i remember something. last night on the bus? what doesn't bend breaks... heart must bend so it does not break. getting blown by the winds of life and all that steel and stone are no match for the air, my friends.
bending, bending into what is offered to me. gifts given today: an hour commute to a challenging job that fills my heart, challenges me to reflect and inquire and reminds me that it is so nice to come home to two adults, one dog, and a glass of scotch in the bath. really, really excellent.
as i let go, there's more space for dreams. maybe that's why i felt so latent this winter: no space for new. flexing. in a soft, patient, restorative way.
