little school becoming
i've been painting and sewing and adding numbers and hammering and staining and shopping and washing and folding and mulching and resting. all in the name of a big, bright dream of mine: a little school. a forest preschool. an earth house. a place where i come together with young children in this simple, everyday, juicy heart life.
lots of help from my friends. thank you. for sawing and hammering and painting and listening. to martin lane for his painting expertise. to all who have given, who inspire me to give to others. something about how giving makes.
some came over and we painted giant watercolours on the walls--lazure style. whenever i paint i wish the brush strokes could be with my entire body, tip toes to squats. here, my wish came true. and transformed an ordinary space. we began each painting day with prayers. now the space glows with love and guardianship and promise:
it's all very exciting and very consuming. i have been going to extra yoga and dance and feldenkrais so that i can put it all down for a bit. if i'm home, i start felting little brown bulb and fidgeting with the budget.
lucky for us, we have an early spring. the snow is nearly melted! soon i'll be in the commercial greenhouse tickling baby plants. soil and tender growing things promise to settle this bubbling cauldron of inspiration. like a day with the children.
